I've been doing my fair share of deleting in Second Life, saying goodbye to my beautiful gallery and a useless wooden clubhouse I was very fond of, as I downsize my presence there (yes, Miso, disaffected......the economy...)so it was a greatfeeling to take up a new sim in Inworldz yesterday. There's something special about that blank slate before it gets filled with prims and builds you become so fond of you can't bear to delete them. I'd only just landed on the sim when Alizarin became the first visitor. What a great way to start.I'd spent the day in Second Life terraforming, deleting, packing, setting land for sale and helping customers....all horribly mundane stuff,so it was great to go back to Inworldz last night and do something totally frivolous and creative, and to discover Soror had left a beautiful tree as a welcome present. How fitting that the first thing on the sim should be one of Soror's trees.
Backstudio sim is going to be a place for experimentation. Victor Vezina and I are going to be working on some ideas together, and I'm going to use it as a place to have fun and explore ideas. You'll be hearing a lot about it, and about my experience of Inworldz as a virtual space for creativity. Here's last night's play.

Welcome... well it'll be a very interesting few months watching your ideas unfold. I look forward to seeing it develop.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Inworldz :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I don't say anything about which worlds anyone should be in! And contrary to some weird rumor, I do not hate SL; I maintain building and home parcels there! All worlds are good worlds!
Yes, warm welcome! As soon as Aliz and I are set up, how about a transimultaneous party?!
