Enjoy Life - Shellina Winkler at MetaLES

I've blogged many times about Shellina Winkler's work, so it's no secret that I'm a great fan. She uses abstract form, colour, light and scripting with great control and restraint to make artworks that simply take your breath away. Her latest installation, Enjoy Life...this is not a rehearsal, at MetaLES is no exception. Every part of it is carefully crafted and thought out.
It's the biggest work I've seen by Shellina (perhaps her biggest to date?). It begins with a haunting pure white construction 'Birth'...and leads on to 'Life' and 'Passion'. Each stage is a beautiful build in itself, but the whole also merges together as a complete and integrated work .I was dreading coming upon 'Death' but if it's there it's only alluded to with a walkway that disappears behind you as you leave the installation.
This is an important new work in Second Life and a must see for anyone interested in virtual art and how it is developing. Shellina Winkler is an artist who has mastered the techniques of making art in virtual space.

Congratulations Shellina and thank you MetaLES for showing this work.
